OK - so our field operation has kicked into high gear. Actually Don and the field volunteers have been out every day for a month or so but I started the 12 hour Saturdays today. Went door to door in West Bloomfield today, walking up those hilly drives in 95 degree heat, then hit Birmingham Days till 10 PM. Got attacked by two very small dogs, my feet are soaking and the brain is tired but starting thinking about the big question again: the battle between those who don't think you can walk a congressional district and need to do all media and those who say you can't win without it.
Here's my early thoughts on this: I'm running into people who have already met me at parades or in their neighborhoods and lots who have met team Skinner. So is this just too anecdotal or can it be that human to human contact still has a place in our democracy?
